A Guest is someone who has not attended classes and parties for preceding 60 days.
The Guest comes for FREE.
Parking is at the spots marked “A Space For Grace” on the intersection of Forest Avenue & Kennebec Street,
and also on Forest Avenue and State Street in the areas close the Post Office.
Weekly Ashtanga-Style Yoga Classes!
When: Fridays, 9:00 - 10:00 AM (Starts Nov 4th)
Where: Aquarius Ballroom (202 Kennebec St. Portland, ME)
Cost: $60 for 6 classes or $15/drop in (pay upon arrival)
Class Description: A modern day form of classical Indian yoga developed by K. Patthabi Jois, the Ashtanga Vinyasa sequence will challenge you both physically and mentally. Characteristic of vinyasa yoga, this class will focus on incorporating movements with breath, while applying the other components of Asthanga yoga—Bhandas (energy locks) and Dristis (focal points)—to increase mind/body awareness, stimulate digestive fires, control the flow of pranic or life force energy within the body, and bring you closer to a meditative state.

Meet the Presenter: Allie Andrews, Certified Health Coach
Allie is the Founder, Health Coach and Program Director at OmBody Health (formerly Maine Wellness Partners). She is also a self-care expert and the Author of Wake Up! You're Alive, But Are Your Living: 40 Simple Self-Care Rituals for a Healthy, Abundant and Purposeful Life. Through her work as a health coach, Allie supports her clients in articulating and achieving their version of optimal health by implementing lifestyle change that feels sustainable and aligned with their goals and values.

SHiNE Dance Fitness™

Classes taught by Rachel Rosenfield
Rachel Rosenfield has been dancing since she started to wiggle. Now incorporating her life long passion for dance and enthusiasm for strength training, she has found the perfect balance to working out and having fun. Rachel has been active her whole life in sports, running, hiking, and yoga. However, after having her daughter she needed something different. Dance fitness allowed her to express herself and fostered a mind body connection where she could “unplug.” Rachel is excited to share dance fitness routines that promote empowerment, grace, strength, laughter and confidence.
SHiNE Dance Fitness™ with Rachel is rooted in Jazz, Hip Hop and Ballet. The 60-minute class includes routines that are high and low in intensity, as well as high and low in complexity. The structure of the class includes songs that encompass full body movements, as well as songs aimed to target legs, arms and abdominals. The goal of Shine is to create a space for men and women to gain confidence, improve heart health and tone muscles, all while dancing to the today's hits (think FM 97.9). The class is for people of all ages and all abilities.
